How to visualize foaf and other ontologies in Designer

Created by Steve Place, Modified on Thu, Feb 20 at 11:43 AM by Steve Place

By default, Designer models use the default Designer namespace, which is tag:stardog:designer:[PROJECT NAME]:model:. If you want to use another ontology, you can do so in two ways:

  1. By writing out your ontology, uploading it to Studio (into the schema graph), and visualizing it in Designer.
  2. Editing the model namespace to use that of your desired ontology. E.g., if you wanted to use foaf, you would change your model namespace to http://xmlns.com/foaf/0.1/. From there, create your model in Designer normally.
    1. See this docs page on how to edit your model namespace.
